Day of Experiments, ‘Art of Living’ and Music
An orientation programme facilitates identification with the University by apprising students about the history, traditions, campus culture, and engagement opportunities. It fosters a spirit of independence and self-direction through self-reflection and advocacy. Keeping this objective in mind, the ninth day of Engineering Orientation Program was focused on equipping students with the new computer skills (Ms Power Point, Google Docs, Ms Excel, Email). Additionally, students attended modules of English Language, Maths Session, Electronics Workshop, and Mechanical Workshop.
Department of Humanities and Language, MRU conducted English modules. The students actively and enthusiastically participated in ‘Extempore’ which boosted up their confidence and reduced stage fear. During the course of the day, students also underwent experiments and hands-on exercises in Mechanical and Electronics Lab.
On the other hand, non-engineering students had a healthy day as Madam Preksha Bhardwaj, Faculty Art of Living, Faridabad Chapter conducted a session on Universal Human Values. She interacted with the students and shared the importance of self awareness, discipline, knowing your inner self, yoga and meditation. During the session, students also underwent Art of Living workshop.
As the day proceeded, students were charged for the Performing Arts Audition for Music. They showcased their talent on the stage and were excited to be a part of the Manav Rachna Music Society.
