Day-Long Conference on Kashmir
The Observer Research Foundation invited Dr Manmeet Bali Nag (Associate Professor, Department of Management & Commerce) to a day-long conference on ‘Kashmir after Article 370’, held on September 19, 2019, at Conference Hall, Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi.
Dr. Manmeet is an avid cultural & geopolitical critic with several publications in the mentioned realm, to her credit. She also holds a Chair of Excellence at USI, New Delhi
The talk revolved around peace and normalcy, security challenges, new political movements, and pertinent policy questions that have emerged after the nullification of Article 370. The day-long program aimed to bring together academics, journalists, security analysts and politicians to discuss the current political/security situation of the state and the media narratives.
Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including Lt. Gen. Subrata Saha – former Deputy Chief of the Army Staff (Planning & Systems); Navnita Chadha – Academic and Head of the Department, Delhi University; Moderator Vikram Sood, Advisor, ORF, Amitabh Mattoo – Academic and ex-minister level advisor, Government of J&K; Shashi Tharoor – Parliamentarian, Author and former Minister, Government of India; Shri Ram Madhav, Leader BJP; and Moderator Barkha Dutt – Journalist and Columnist
