Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Applied Science, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies is celebrating National Nutrition Week from 1^st to 7^th September, 2018. A Healthy Recipe Competition was conducted on September 5, 2018. The theme of the competition was “FIRST THOUSAND DAYS – CHILD HEALTH”. The response was encouraging as a total of 30 students of various colleges- K.L Mehta Dayanand College, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Institute of Hotel Management, PUSA, Raj Guru College, Technia Institute of Advanced Studies, School of Open School, Delhi University and Desh Bandhu participated in the event very enthusiastically.

By keeping today’s competition theme in mind, various ideas and thought process of students were reflected through the posters. Competition was judged by Dr. Kalpana Varshney, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, FET, MRIIRS and Dr. Deepti Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, FAS, MRIIRS.

The winning poster was from Deshbandhu college. The 1^st runner up was from Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies and the 2^nd runner up was from K.L Mehta Dayanand College. One prize for commendable efforts was given to student of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. The prizes were announced by the judges and Head of Department of Nutrition and Dietetics to the winners. Merit certificates were given to all entries.

The posters were as per the theme and the judges had tough time to zero in on the winners. Dr. Sarita Sachdeva, Dean (Research & FAS) congratulated the winners.
