Day 2 Of Orientation For BBA Students
Second day of MRU orientation for BBA students began with a Bridge session with the Administration Team . Mr R K Malik, Dy Registrar introduced the team members and interacted with the students on key processes and functionaries. The session was attended by Mr Neeraj,Sharma, Mr Varun Mehta and Ms Anita Pruthi from Admin . The session was followed by Library Orientation session which was conducted by Ms. Anjana Thakur , Library In Charge, Manav Rachna University Library and Ms Mamta Kaushik, Dy Librarian, Central Library. Students were oriented on how to access various digital / electronic materials ie eBooks, journals etc available on DELNET, OPAC and ‘Urkund: Anti -Plagiarism Checker Software’. The facility of accessing the library e-resources beyond campus 24X7 was also encouraged. Session was interactive and informative for students. It was co ordinate by Prof Dr Sudhir Sachdev and facilitated by Prof Dr Rajat Gera.
Post the morning session and to set the adrenaline rushing, the Career Development Centre Team led by Ms. Gauri Bhasin, Head of CDC and Manav Rachna Centre of Foreign Languages interacted with the bright and brilliant young Manav’ites, motivating them to be more focused in life so that they turn out to be successful professionals and responsible citizens. CDC remains an integral part of a student’s journey at Manav Rachna imparting training in personality, soft skills, aptitude and communication skills. Students thoroughly enjoyed the session and chocolates were distributed among the students.
In the post lunch session, a happening interaction took place between the alumni Anubhav Sukhija, MBA 2013-2015 passout and the batch of BBA 2017-2020. He is a successful entrepreneur who has set up over six e-commerce businesses in primarily sports gear and nutritional supplements in the past two years. He motivated the students to harness their unleashed potential and grab every single opportunity right from the very beginning to broaden their career prospects. He thanked Manav Rachna University for shaping his career by giving guidance at the right point of time. The session was very exciting for the students as they have realized that there is an ocean of knowledge and opportunities beckoning them. Mr Anubhav narrated his journey with heartfelt simplicity and humility. The session ended with Prof Jaideep Singh giving him a sapling as a token of appreciation. He was welcomed by Prof Dr Rajat Gera with a bouqet. Session was co ordinate by Prof Dr Pooja Kapoor and attended by Prof B Prasad, Ms Stuti Tiwari, and Prof Dr Pragati Chauhan.
