Charcha – An Initiative by Faculty of Law
Faculty of Law organizes a Charcha every week on a contemporary socio-legal issue and the first Charcha saw the law students and faculty debating upon ‘The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2015’. A panel of 4 students took the lead, post which the entire student’s body and teachers pitched in with their arguments/opinions critiquing the new law. While some welcomed the move, others were skeptical about its consequences. All in all, it was a vibrant discussion which left us all hankering for more.
The next charcha is awaited next week! And yes, all MRU students and faculty are welcome to come in and join us in our endeavor to sensitize, generate awareness and instill in all a spirit of questioning, reforming and scientific temper.
