Champions on a winning streak!!
Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies participated in Malaviya Sports Tournament held at Malaviya Nagar Institute of Technology, Jaipur (MNIT) from February 21 to February 24, 2019.
1500 students from 26 educational institutions participated and the opening ceremony was presided by Mr. Devender Jhajharia, first Indian Paralympian to win two gold medals at the Paralympics. He won his first gold in the javelin throw at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, becoming only the second gold medalist at the Paralympics for his country.
The chief guest at closing ceremony was Mr. Jagseer Singh, a long jumper and the flag bearer of India at Paralympics in London 2012.
MRIIRS won 3 Gold in Table Tennis (Women), Volleyball (Men) and Weight Lifting; and also 3 Bronze in Basketball (Women), Football (Men) and Basketball (Men).
Mr. Sarkar Talwar, Director Sports, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions shared that this was one of the best ever performances by MRIIRS students.
