Blood Donation Camp to pay homage to Dr. O P Bhalla on his 7th remembrance anniversary
The entire Manav Rachna family paid homage to its Founder Visionary Dr. O. P Bhalla on his seventh remembrance anniversary today through a Blood Donation Camp at the Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) campus. The Camp, inaugurated by Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI was organized under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation in association with the Lions Club of Faridabad and the Samanvaya Parivar Trust.
Following strict social distancing norms, staff members of Manav Rachna donated 91 units of blood over staggered slots. Encouraging staff members to participate wholeheartedly, Smt. Satya Bhalla said: “At this time of crisis, when social distancing is the new normal, we need to remind ourselves of the importance of solidarity and generosity. A small gesture like donating blood can make a big difference to the lives of people. Blood donation is even more important during the Coronavirus pandemic. I am glad to see the staff members registering themselves for the noble cause. This definitely sets a precedent for others to follow”.
September 16, the day when Founder Visionary Dr O P Bhalla left for his heavenly abode is a solemn day for the Manav Rachna family. The day began with a floral tribute and bhajans adding to the pious surroundings of the early morning peace at Dr O P Bhalla Memorial Sthal, fondly known as the ‘Prerna Sthal’ in the midst of the Manav Rachna campus. This was followed by a hawan to invoke the blessings of the almighty.
