Department of Students Welfare provided an opportunity to the students of Manav Rachna to be a better writer by organizing a Be an AuthorCompetition on 18th March 2016 in AF- 21 at 10 am. Ms. Ritika Kharbanda from CDC judged the competition. She provided a theme ‘My God is in Me’ theme to the 27 participants present in the competition. Within a time slot of one and half hour, the participants had to develop different characters and write a story revolving around the same theme.

Prof. I. K. Kilam was present during the competition and gave insight to better writing skills. Ms. Ritika Kharbanda motivated the students to participate in reading in addition to writing as they both are interrelated.

Vinnie Sachdeva, 1st year BDS, MRDC bagged the first prize because of her mesmerizing writing expertise and spontaneous ability to make a plot while Ragini Sharma (4th year, BDS, MRDC), Diksha Parmar (1st year, B. Tech CSE, FET), Arya . V (BJMC, FMeH, MRIU)and Vaibhavi Bhargava (BDS, MRDC)  got special mention.
