The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics organized an industrial visit to Mother Dairy, Patparganj for the students of M.Sc., 4th Semester and B.Sc. FST 2nd and 4th Semester. The motive of the visit was to apprise the students with the method of milk processing through live demonstration.

The industrial setup of Patparganj only handles the processing of token milk. The production manager helped the students understand the aims and objectives for setting up the plant and how it serves the motto of Jai-Jawan Jai-Kisan. Different steps for processing of milk were demonstrated to the students by the production manager of the branch.

While understanding the milk processing techniques, students also visited their treatment plant, solar power plant used for processing of milk and rain water harvesting mechanism.
