Azaadi 70: Story Making Competition – 10th August 2016
A picture can tell thousands of words, but few words can change its story and this is what the event was all about, ‘Story Making ‘.
Department of Students Welfare organized a Story Making Competition on 10th of August 2016 in T Block Auditorium from 9 am to 10 am as part of “Independence 70”. Event was judged by Ms. Ritika Kharbanda (Faculty, CDC) and compared by Shubhi Goyal (7th sem B. Tech CSE, MRU).
The participants were shown images of various objects which they had to connect with their imagination, carve a story instantly and recite in front of the judges and fellow participants. Prof. I.K. Kilam, Dean Students Welfare was present during the event. Crowd appreciated every participant with a huge round of applause. Participants tried to connect every picture with their life stories and what they experience in day to day life.
The winner of the event was Ragini (4th years BDS, MRDC), 1st runner up was Himagna Roy (5th sem B. Com (H), FCBS) and 2nd runner up was Meghali Sachdeva (7th sem B. Tech IT, MRU).
Ms. Ritika concluded the event with a deeper understanding of connecting the dots and weaving a story out of it.
