Azaadi 70: Rangoli Competition – 11th August 2016
India is a nation of colors and to depict the same, Rangoli competition was organized by the Department of Students Welfare during the “Azaadi 70″ celebrations on 11th August, 2016.
The event was conducted in T-block Auditorium. The auditorium engendered patriotic vibes as contestants added colors to their creations. A total of 14 teams participated from all faculties of Manav Rachna, out of which first position was bagged by the team having members: Misha, Jyoti, Chidambara, Divey Kapoor and Rupali. There was a tie for the runner up position. Consolation prizes were also announced to the deserving teams.
The event was judged by Ms. Nidhi from CSE, FET while Prof. I.K. Kilam, Dean Students Welfare graced the event with his presence and praised the participants for their hard work and creativity. The judgment criteria was the essence of theme in the designs, technique used and esthetic appeal. Ms. Nidhi explained the importance of incorporation of theme in the rangoli designs. The event concluded on a cheerful note and reminded everbody how the rangoli reflected beautiful colors in their life. All the participants were given refreshments and certificates of appreciation.
