To educate the students about the basic premise of ‘an educated investor is a protected investor’ for investing in financial markets, the Department of Commerce, FCBS, organized a lecture on “Awareness of Capital Market & Depository Services.”

Dr. Amit Seth, FCBS Director, Dr. Jayender Verma, FCBS Head of Department (Commerce), and Dr. Narinder Tanwar, FCBS Head of Department (Business Studies), greeted the speakers. The speakers emphasized the rise of financial markets and higher investment rates. The speakers raised awareness of the regulators’ and capital markets roles. They also learned about the shifting trends in capital market investment and how companies want to invite the general public to participate in future events. They informed students about Central Depository Services (India) Limited, Asia’s first and only listed depository and the first and only depository to operate in GIFT City’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).
