5th Indo-European Conference on Patents and ICT
A conference titled “Creating a Robust IP Ecosystem for ICT in the 21st Century” was organised by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) recently. The conference provided a holistic view of some of the key issues faced by the Indian and European ICTE industries. The conference was attended by Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Applied Science, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies at India Habitat Center, New Delhi. Also present at the event were senior government officials, industry representatives, MeitY and EPO representatives as well as many other prominent experts including academicians, researchers, IPR experts, SMEs, law firms, IP attorneys, in-house legal counsels from India and Europe.
As emerging technologies such as IoT, Cloud, Big Data Analytics, Block Chain evolve rapidly disrupting existing businesses and create opportunities for new value chains, this conference emphasized on how IPRs can actually serve to foster rather than hinder innovations, and equipped attendees with a lot of techno-knowledge.
