3rd edition of GD Pro Junior draws to a thrilling close
After the amusing success of GDPro Junior in its maiden seasons, the 3rd edition expanded its canvas of optimism by adding new territories and schools. The one-of-its-kind revolution witnessed the expressions of enthusiasm from 150 + leading educational institutions and 20000+ beneficiaries. The saga began on June 14, 2017 encompassing well expounded workshops on Group Discussion spread over 150 days in all top of the line leading institutions, viz. Lotus Valley International School, Noida, Delhi Public School, Faridabad, DLF Public School, Ghaziabad, Colonel’s Central Academy, Gurugram, Tagore International School, Delhi, Bal Bharti Public School, Manesar, Doon Public School, Panchkula, DPS Nacharam and many more.
With more than 1000 GD’s spread across varied levels viz. Pre Lims, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and the national Grand Finale the participants were encouraged and motivated to showcase their intellect and talent, bringing to light the fact that they are future ready. Group Discussions, one of the most sought after skills in today’s era, were displayed in a spectacular light in the National Grand Finale. Organized at Manav Rachna Campus, Faridabad on Dec 14, 2017 the National Grand finale saw India’s foremost 40 + schools contesting for the most coveted title.
The mega event was graced by the revered presence of Mr. Prakash Sharma, Chief Financial Officer, National skill Development Corporation, Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Managing Director, MREI, Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Director, MRIS, Dr. Meenakshi Khurana, Pro Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University other senior dignitaries of MR fraternity. The eminent adjudicators at the Finale included eminent personalities from corporate and media industry viz. Mr. Ashok Bindra, Chief Operating Officer, Open Media Network Ltd., Ms. Chandrika Choudhary, Head, Taxation, South Asia, Intertek India, Col. A.K. Rajpal, communication Coach The enthusiastic day finally drew to a vibrant close with Deepakshi from Delhi Public School, Faridabad bagging the First prize, Selbie from Lotus Valley International School, Noida and Kalhan of Indirapuram Public School, Ghaziabad winning the Second and Third positions respectively. All the winners received trophies along certificate, gift hampers, complimentary vouchers, learning package and more. The participants were greatly elated and expressed their gratitude to Manav Rachna for providing a platform that gave them what they described as the experience of a lifetime.
