ROLE OF INTERNSHIP
An internship is an opportunity offered by an employer to potential employees, called interns, to work at a firm for a fixed, limited period of time. Internships offer students a period of practical experience in the industry relating to their professional degree. This experience is well counted to the candidate as they get an opportunity to implement their theoretical knowledge in the “real world”,
In the current scenario, employers favor prospective employees who have gained practical training in their concerned software enterprise. A college education can only serve a candidate into a profession by awarding a degree, which demonstrates an academic proficiency in various theoretical and practical examples of ways that a job might be performed. An internship gives the hands on experience of the classroom’s abstract theories concrete by placing the student in a real life work environment with live colleagues performing actual professional tasks, which the job encompasses.
So by doing internship the student is accustomed to the working environment which is the step to a sought after professional. From employer point of view also this is beneficial as their workplace remains fresh with new ideas and faces, allowing the current employees to mentor and motivate the young crowd for entering their profession.
