Grand launch of the book “News Anchors…the Face of the News” by Media Stalwarts at the MRIU Campus

• The book written by well-known News Anchors Dr. Praveen Tiwari & Ms. Archana Tiwari has been brought out in association with the Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities (FMeH), Manav Rachna International University
• News Anchors from all the leading news channels were present on the launch of this first-of-its kind book on the subject.

Luminaries from the world of “News Anchoring” visited the Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) campus today for the launch of the book “News Anchors…the Face of the News” written by well-known News Anchors Dr. Praveen Tiwari & Ms. Archana Tiwari. The book has been brought out in association with the Faculty of Media Studies & Humanities, MRIU.

Mr. Umesh Upadhyay, President Reliance Jionet & Editor ZEE News was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Vijay Shankar Tiwari, Spokesperson, VHP; Mr. Srivardhan Trivedi, Sansani -ABP News (who is also the publisher of the book); Mr. Sayeed Ansari, Aaj Tak; Mr. Sanjay Pandey, Zee News; Mr. Akash Soni, IBN 7; Ms. Archana Singh, India TV; Mr. Naresh Soni, News World India; Mr. Anurag Punetha, Rajya Sabha TV; Mr. Akshay Shukla, News Nation; Mr. Maan Singh Parmar, VC- Kushabhau Thakre University, Raipur; Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC-MRIU among others. This was a historical and a rare moment when news anchors from all the leading channels of India congregated at one place – a moment that probably no other University can boast off.

While addressing the enthusiastic media students at FMeH, Mr. Umesh Upadhyay deliberated upon the role of technology in the changing face of news anchoring over the years. He urged the students to adapt with the changing means of technology, particularly the social media as that holds a very prominent place in today’s news industry. Dr. Maan Singh Parmar stressed upon the importance of clarity and brevity in a news anchors professional career. The students were highly excited to catch a glimpse of the ‘Sansani’ anchor Mr. Srivardhan Trivedi who obliged the students with his Sansani act.

While welcoming all the media luminaries, Dr. N C Wadhwa said: “This book will be highly useful for the students who aspire to make a career in news anchoring as it brings out some of the best professional experiences in the field and gives a complete perspective into the world of News Anchoring”.

Mr. Sayeed Ansari from Aaj Tak and all the other news anchors present on the occasion also interacted with the students of FMeH.
