ISHRAE Job Junction Fair at Manav Rachna International University
– MRIU was the nodal centre for ISHRAE (Indian Society for Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers) at its in North India Job Junction Fair
ISHRAE (Indian Society for Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers) conducted its first Job Junction Fair for students pursuing Mechanical Engineering programs at institutes across North India. Manav Rachna International University was the nodal centre for the first-of-its kind job fair for students from North India. More than 226 students of different student chapters/states of north zone participated at the Job Junction fair. Only those students who are ISHRAE members participated at the Job Junction Fair. They were greatly enthused by the opportunities it unfolded. Around 15 top-of-the line companies such as Blue Star, Voltas, Daikin, Kirloskar, Sterling Wilson, Flow Tech, H-Tech, among others visited the campus to select students through online test, group discussion and personal interview over a two-day period. There are more than 100 student chapters of ISHRAE all over India.
Greatly appreciative of ISHRAE and MRIU’s efforts, Dr M.K. Soni, Executive Director & Dean, FET, MRIU said, “This is a perfect platform for members of ISHRAE to participate at a job fair on such a large scale. This placement drive of the North Zone undertaken mostly by refrigeration companies will open up a host of opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students.”
Echoing his thoughts, Mr Subir Das, Student Chair, ISHRAE, and Managing Director, Flow Tech, said, “All the students of MRIU are very co-operative which deserves special mention. We tend to assess students on the basis of their character and level of seriousness. My advice to the students is that they should always be positive and seek exposure. If it is their first Job Junction Fair, it might well be the stepping stone for even bigger outcomes in future.”
Congratulating everyone on the successful implementation of the job fair, Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President-MREI said: “The Job Junction Fair at MRIU has further strengthened the institution’s ties with ISHRAE and opened up a wealth of placement prospects for Mechanical engineering students”.
