The new session for engineering program kicks off at MREI
Manav Rachna Educational Institutions welcomed 1st Year B.Tech Students (2017-2021 Batch) on five day long orientation programme. Various activities have been planned for students that aim to prepare them for the challenges in career and rapidly changing world. These include Knowledge Partners/ Expert Interaction, Holistic Wellness and Life Skills, Psychometric Test and various CLAN activities (Sports, Cultural, Literary).
As is the tradition at Manav Rachna, the session commenced with an auspicious Havan ceremony and paying of tribute to Founder Visionary Dr O.P. Bhalla at the campus to mark this momentous occasion. The Hawan ceremony of MRU was graced by Chief patron Madam Satya Bhalla; Dr Sanjay Srivastava, VC-MRU, MD-MREI; Prof. Dr. Meenakshi S. Khurana, Dean Academics MRU; Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Banga, Dean Students Welfare along with HODs and faculty members from various faculties.
Keeping in view the UGC norm, the new students along with their mentors engaged in plantation under ‘One Student, One Tree’ campaign of UGC. This eco-friendly gesture is bound to remind newcomers of the need for a pollution-free world and their contribution towards a cleaner and green environment.
The day further progressed with a formal initiation programme where senior dignitaries such as Dr N. C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University (MRIU); Dr. M.M. Kathuria, Trustee, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions; Dr. Naresh Grover, Dean Academics, MRIU and Dr. M. K. Soni, Executive Director and Dean, FET introduced students and parents to the culture, ethos and academic ambience of Manav Rachna while giving them a broad overview.
Speaking at the Commencement session and addressing students, Chief Patron Madam Satya Bhalla, said, “This is a significant day as you start your journey towards the realization of your goals and careers. We at MRIU will provide you with ample opportunities –both intellectual and extra-curricular—to help you emerge as successful citizens of the future.”
At last, students took oath that they will obey the rules & regulations of university and will maintain strong character and moral values.
