MIRACLES OF BIOTECHNOLOGY
Every organism’s journey begins with the interplay of genetic material which sits obediently within the nucleus of the cell, enwrapping beautifully within itself the information of precise architecture of the human body. A whole new organism is created encompassing all the principles of physics, chemistry, fluid dynamics, concepts of mechanical engineering and electronics.
Biotechnology is where you have fun with complexities of life by playing with the intricate pathways at the microscopic level. The core biotechnology cannot be seen with the naked eyes; which therefore creates avenues to build a paradise around the central dogma of life!
The Technology of Biology makes aware of the basic nature of molecules constituting the various components of our body along with their role in maintenance of homeostatic conditions. Such knowledge empowers an individual to create external aides for the human body where the body fails naturally. For Example: non invasive methods of detecting diseases have been devised; a 3D printing of organs is in its testing phase! Such advancements reduce the costs of medical facilities and make the implementation more convenient.
This field works on studying a living organism in its natural state and to derive some benefits to the pre-existing condition to improve the in status quo scenarios. The food industry benefits from study of microbial behavior under various conditions where food materials requiring transportation or preservation for a long time maybe benefitted from such a study.
The study of molecular pathways utilized by the pathogens to invade the host helps in stopping the pathogen right in its tracks at the initial level of infection. For instance, the pathogen’s ability to replicate or attach itself to the host cell may be prevented by modifying the basic molecular structure of attachments. This forms a new line of therapeutics where unnecessary drugs are not required to be pumped into the system for such pathogens and eliminates unwanted side effects.
