WEBINAR ON ‘ENABLING TECHNOLOGY-RELATED DEGREES’

Faculty members and final year students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International University, attended a webinar on ‘Enabling Technology-related Degrees’, at its MRIU campus, Faridabad. The attendees gathered in a Computer Lab, where the lecture was streamed live. The webinar was delivered by Mr. Aditya Mone, Software Engineer, Google, California, USA, at 1000 hrs. He identified the Technology-related Degrees to be B. Tech / M. Tech – Computer Science / IT, BCA, MCA, B. Sc (IT), M. Sc (IT) etc. During his lecture, he touched upon topics such as Principles of Software Engineering, Best Practices of Programming, How to get into Tech-giants like Google, Facebook etc, Significance of Online Courses and Live Projects etc. Most importantly, he discussed why and which courses/concepts in their curriculum to focus on, such as Data Structures, Graph Theory, Computer Graphics, Databases and Machine learning. Subsequently, he continued to explain which IT Company is working in one of these subjects or technologies. He also motivated the students to not to be afraid and make an impact with their continuous progress. The lecture would greatly help the students to identify the areas to improve upon and build a stronger profile, for their upcoming placement drives.
