MREI celebrated 5th Founder’s Day
The entire Manav Rachna family paid a soulful homage and tribute to Founder Visionary Dr. O P Bhalla on the 5th Founders Day. The day began on a pious note with the singing of bhajans at Prerna Sthal—Dr O.P. Bhalla’s memorial–bedecked beautifully with a profusion of blooms and garlands. It was here that the entire Manav Rachna family paid their floral tributes. This was followed by a havan ceremony in keeping with the spiritual mood.
A Mobile Dental Van (MDV) was flagged off by Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI on this occasionto provide quality and specialized dental services across various villages of Faridabad. This is the first Solar powered dental project, equipped with all the modern facilities with two fully functional dental chairs, Portable X-ray, Motorised suction, IEC facilities and Public Address System (PAS).
Manav Rachna University (MRU) and Daikin Air-Conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL) had recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a ‘Daikin Centre of Excellence’ at the MRU campus. The ‘Daikin Centre of Excellence’ was also inaugurated today at the Manav Rachna University campus by Mr. Kanwal Jeet Jawa, CEO & MD, Daikin India in the presence of Mr. K D Virmani, Sr. Vice-President, Daikin India; Mr. APS Gandhi, GM – Training & Development and Customer Service, Daikin India; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Mr. H K Batra, MD, Perfect Bread; Mr. Navdeep Chawla, CMD, Psychotropics India; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRU and other senior dignitaries.
While inaugurating the Centre, Mr. Kanwal Jeet Jawa said: “This partnership is aimed at upgrading training in Air Conditioning to international standards. We at Daikin are committed towards excellence in technology and quality; and this initiative shall provide a platform to students to enhance their skills and get access to world-class training in Air conditioning. I am glad that post training at this facility, students will gain the status of an employable work force. I convey my best wishes for their placement into various organizations.”
A State-of-the-Art Chemistry lab ‘CNR Rao Research & Experimentation Centre’ was also inaugurated by Smt. Satya Bhalla. The lab has been named after the internationally renowned chemist Dr. C NR Rao who was conferred with the prestigious Bharat Ratna for his exceptional work in the field of Chemistry.
More than 800 students from various schools, colleges and Universities participated in the Annual Technical Fest ‘INNOSKILL 2018’ organized on April 3 & 4. The prizes for the various competitions of INNOSKILL were given away by Dr. Prashant Bhalla and Mr. Navdeep Chawla. Around 213 undergraduate students from MREI have published their research papers in International Journals under a unique partnership with Accendere Knowledge Management Services.
While giving out the awards at INNOSKILL 2018, Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President MREI said: “The dedication andcommitment with which students have put together their projects is a true reflection of theculture of innovation prevalent at MREI. The first seeds of the spirit of innovation were sown by our
Founder Dr O.P. Bhalla and what we are witnessing today is a fulfillment of his dreams for thefuture.”
A project clinic that connects students for instant query resolution also inaugurated by the dignitaries.
