Manav Rachna hosts students from Telangana as Receiver Nodal Centre for Ek Bharat
Shreshtha Bharat ( AKAM – EBSB ) Initiative by AICTE and Ministry of Education
The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Initiative ( AKAM – EBSB ) by AICTE and Ministry of Education
is a platform for cultural exchange between states to propagate quality of education by
experiential learning.
Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies has been selected as the
receiver and sender Nodal Centre for the two way cultural exchange between Telangana and
Haryana.
A six day programme kickstarted today with the inaugural ceremony and shall include
sightseeing, educational curriculum and understanding the heritage of Haryana. The opening
ceremony for the event was attended by dignitaries from AICTE, Ministry of Education and
Manav Rachna.
The event was anchored by Mr. Manoj Singh – Assistant Director, AICTE. The welcome address
was given by Dr. Ravindra Kumar Soni – Advisor, AICTE, who emphasized the importance of
cultural familiarity and knowledge of multiple languages highlighting the diversity in the country.
He stated credence of the collaboration that is instrumental to encourage cultural and
educational exchange of ideas amongst students of different states.
Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE addressed the audience with the vision and spirit
of the programme. Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, drew the attention on the
diversity of the country and the importance of engaging the young generation to experience the
cultural diversifications.
Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Managing Director, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) and
Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS, shared his delight on the momentous occasion. He said in his
address, “The Programme is a vision that will be carried forward. We will witness the next 25
years of development as our Hon’ble Prime Minister quotes ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
Manav Rachna is celebrating 25 years of excellence too. And we firmly believe that there is no
country like ours with rich heritage and knowledge. Believe in your own culture, believe in your
country”.
Dr. Gurjeet Kaur Chawla – Dean MRIIRS, Haryana warmly welcomed the students and
underlined the activities and interactions for the students from Telangana. She also cited the
dialogue between Shri Anil Vij – Hon’ble Home Minister for State and the students to indicate
the takeaways looked-for.
Prof. (Dr.) Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director from Birla Institute of Management Technology,
Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, shared his views on the exchange programme as the
state of Uttar Pradesh is paired with Arunachal Pradesh. He expressed his delight to know
about the active participation of state Government Schools in the cause.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Nikhil Kant – Deputy Director, AICTE, who showcased
the prominence of the programme and the eminence this programme offered.
The students also interacted with Dronacharya Awardee Sh. Sarkar Talwar – Director Sports,
MREI who introduced the students to the importance of sports and how without sports, the true
meaning of life cannot be achieved. The students spent their time playing various sports like
badminton, table tennis etc. Everyone had one of the best times of their lives and enjoyed their
visit to the sports academy to the fullest.
