First Day of Refresher and Empowerment Workshop
Faculty of Education, Manav Rachna University is organizing “Two day Refresher and Empowerment Workshop for Principals and HMs of Government schools of Faridabad in collaboration with Department of Education, Haryana on June 29 and June 30, 2018. Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Director-MRIS and Faculty of Education, MRU gave the welcome address and conducted a session on ‘Being a Leader’ and said, “A leader is one who comes forward when there is a difficult time”. She added the most important aspect of true leadership- ‘Appreciation goes to team, ownership/accountability goes to the leader’. Ms. Anita Sharma, BEO was also present during the day.
The workshop was graced by Dr. NC Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS who took a session on ‘Delegation of Authority’. He discussed the three important elements of delegation- Authority, Responsibility and Accountability. Types of delegation, principles of delegation of authority, its advantages, limitations and hindrances were also discussed. In this context, he acquainted the participants with their role in their respective schools.
A session on ‘How Children Learn?’ was conducted by Dr. Chavi Bhargava, Dean & Executive Director, FBSS which was highly interactive wherein participants shared their ideas about a good leader, and how a leader as a teacher can bring change into a student’
Mr. D.C. Chaudhary, Advisor, Faridabad Navchetna Trust (FNT) informed the participants about the role and importance of five basic elements of life: Sky, Air, Water, Fire, and Earth.
The first day provided great takeaways to the participants which they can effectively implement in their classrooms.
