Faculty Visited NCB to review performance of the students
Prof. Gupta and Dr. Roopa from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Sciences, MRU visited NCB “National Council for Cement and Building Materials” to review the performance of MRU M.Sc students as trainees there. 3 students of M.Sc. Chemistry (Aanchal, Shivangi Kataria and Himanshi Mudgil) are working on projects including “Morphology analysis of stones and cement Material using Optical Instruments such as Microscope” and ” Preparation of concrete material and estimation of their strength” in NCB.
Prof. Gupta and Dr. Roopa had a meeting with Mr. S. K. Chaturvedi, Joint director and Head; and Dr. Devendar Yadav, General Manager from Center for Cement Research and Independent Testing. The team of NCB mentioned that they are satisfied with the performance of the students and the students have made great progress across the curriculum since the beginning of training. The NCB team also shared their opinion of grasping one or 2 students for job in NCB itself after training.
