Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp by MRIIC concluded with great takeaways
The concluding day of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp organized by Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Center commenced on a very motivational and cheerful note. The young and future entrepreneurs at the campus of Manav Rachna relished the motivational words by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI and VC, Manav Rachna University. He spoke on ‘Creativity and business- the man behind the venture- the behavioral scientist’s approach’. He apprised the students of the five resources essential to an entrepreneur- Information, People, Physical Resource, Money and Time.
Dr. Srivastava said that a well-informed entrepreneur does wonders in life, and APT (automatic positive thoughts) should empower ANT (automatic negative thoughts). ‘Certain level of anxiety is important to perform well’, he said. To the third resource- Physical Resource, he said, “Entrepreneurship is not only a mental game but physical as well. Thus, physical fitness is necessary”. He advised that as an entrepreneur, you should keep a note of all your spending from a layman’s perspective and examine your spending daily.
The session was highly motivational and ended on a note that Smile is a key to be an entrepreneur, and laughter is the fuel to your success.
Mr. Nitesh Shankar, AGM, Career Skills conducted a session on ‘Communication Skills for better results’. He introduced various soft skills necessary for an entrepreneur and how students can enhance their skill set. Personality development and learning a foreign language were other points of discussion.
An industrial visit to Indication Instruments Ltd. was also planned for the students wherein Mr. Vishal Lalani interacted with the students and shared the success stories of entrepreneurs, and the common problems faced by the entrepreneurs.
