B.Sc B.Ed Course Overview

To begin with, this is a four-year degree course which integrates both in-depth knowledge of sciences and professional studies in education. The program allows you to choose between Medical (Chemistry, Botany and Zoology) and Non-Medical branches (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics). The program structure is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of sciences which is at par with the UGC guidelines for graduation. Additionally, the education syllabus meets all the criteria set by NCTE. The students can pursue this program after qualifying XII Board Exams in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology subjects. The B.Sc. B.Ed. program saves one year of the students by combining Science and Education in four years and also the program is in line with NEP 2020 guidelines for the future teachers.
The students interested in pursuing a career in teaching science or other subjects can enrol in the B.Sc. B.Ed. course, which offers an understanding of different disciplines of science and empowers them with teaching expertise and pedagogies. Moreover, the candidates after completion of B.Sc. Elucidating Admission Process
Students can enrol in the B.Sc. B.Ed. program after completing class XII in Physics, Chemistry Biology or Mathematics and can opt from Medical or Non-Medical as per their subject choices in class XII i.e. PCM students will opt for Non-Medical and PCB students will opt for Medical stream.
The minimum percentage criteria to get admission is 55% marks in class XII. The students may opt to take direct admission on the basis of their percentage in class XII or they may undertake the University Entrance Exam (MRNAT), which offers exciting scholarship schemes.

The B.Sc. B.Ed. program structure is designed in a way that both sciences and education courses are simultaneously taught and in-depth knowledge is given to the students. Hence, the students while enhancing their knowledge of sciences enrich themselves with the teaching skills.
Broadly, the syllabus is split in eight semesters. The program is enriched with summer training after semester II, contact internship after semester IV. Thus, the course is dedicated for dynamic development of future teachers by improving their communication skills, confidence building thus contributing to personality development. Moreover, the realistic experience enhances practical aptitude to strengthen BSc BEd students’ experiential knowledge.

Syllabus to Success
The syllabus of sciences i.e., physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany and zoology are in alignment with the latest UGC guidelines and is updated regularly by the university identified experts to accommodate the beneficial changes. Similarly, the syllabus of education subjects meets NCTE guidelines and is also updated so that our students are eligible to teach in CBSE and International schools regularly.

The B.Sc. BEd. Program widens the horizons for the students as they have a chance to undertake post-graduation in either sciences or education or both and then opt for job prospects in education or sciences. Moreover, they can work in both the public and private sectors. The students are eligible to teach in schools or open their tuition centers.
